评价理论下“乡村振兴”新闻报道的积极话语分析
Positive Discourse Analysis of News Reports on “Rural Revitalization” under the Appraisal Theory

在全面建成小康社会后，我国开启了全面建设社会主义现代化国家新征程，“三农”工作重心转向全面推进乡村振兴。这个过程中，《中国日报》和《环球时报》作为中国两大官方主流英文报纸，向国内外读者展现了中国在建设和美乡村过程中的积极作为，鼓舞了人们的信心。其新闻报道中的积极话语具有很大研究价值，本文以积极话语分析为研究视角，结合Martin的评价理论，选取了50篇2021~2024年以来《中国日报》和《环球时报》中关于乡村振兴的新闻报道作为分析对象，旨在通过语篇中的评价资源来解读新闻中的积极内容，从而分析语篇积极话语的实现方式。本文发现，大量积极评价资源的运用奠定了语篇积极的主基调。其中介入资源所占比重最大，其次是极差和态度资源。介入资源引入外界真实声音调动读者的积极感受。极差资源通过语势资源强化语篇的积极性，表达了实现全面乡村振兴的坚决态度。态度资源使用鉴赏和判断资源呈现了乡村振兴取得的重大成果和中国政府的伟大壮举。
After winning the battle against poverty and completing the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects, China has embarked on a new journey to comprehensively build a modern socialist country, and the focus of the work on agriculture, rural areas and farmers has shifted to promoting rural revitalization. In this process, China Daily and Global Times, as two major official English-language newspapers, have shown to readers at home and abroad China’s positive actions in the process of building a peaceful and beautiful countryside, inspiring people’s confidence. Positive discourse in news reports is of great research value. Therefore, based on Positive Discourse Analysis as a research perspective combined with Martin’s Appraisal Theory, this paper takes 50 news reports on rural revitalization in China Daily and Global Times from 2021~2024 as the object of analysis. The aim is to interpret the positive content of news through the appraisal resources in discourse, so as to analyze the realization of positive discourse in the news. It is found that, the use of a large number of positive appraisal resources establishes the positive tone of the discourse. The proportion of engagement resources is the largest, followed by graduation and attitude resources. In engagement, a large number of engagement resources introduce real voices from the outside world to mobilize reader’s positive feelings and guide readers to look forward to the future. In graduation, a large number of force resources strengthen the positivity of the discourse, express the strong attitude to achieve comprehensive Rural Revitalization. In attitude, appreciation and judgment resources present the major achievements of rural revitalization and the great feat of the Chinese government.
