As an intangible cultural heritage of Sichuan Province and a significant branch of traditional Chinese bone-setting (orthopedics), Xie’s Bone-Setting stands out among various traditional bone-setting methods with its distinctive characteristics. It was founded in the classic Chinese bone-setting theory that it was able to create a special kind of identity. Over its century-long practice and application, Xie’s Bone-Setting has summarized numerous diagnostic and therapeutic techniques, forming a distinct system of diagnosis and treatment that has yielded excellent clinical outcomes. Xie’s Bone-setting method has made significant innovations in bone-setting techniques, palpation methods, and external treatment methods. These advancements have provided new clues and directions for the development of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) bone-setting.
