This article initiates a discourse on the Five Elements Culture, delving into the distinctive attributes of each element and the principles governing their mutual generation and restraint. It elucidates the profound impact that Five Elements Culture has had on ancient architectural art. The discussion begins with an exploration of the origins and fundamental principles of this cultural framework. Subsequently, it focuses on the dimensions of various lenses, including spatial organization, material selection, color harmonization, and environmental integration. Finally, it assesses how these elemen-tal concepts manifest in both traditional Chinese architecture and international architectural practices to illustrate the pervasive influence of Five Elements Culture. This study aims to promote a deeper comprehension of Five Elements Culture—encouraging appreciation for its philosophical insights and harmonious ideals—and serves as a valuable reference for preserving ancient archi-tectural heritage while informing innovative approaches to contemporary design.
