研究目的：体育的目的在每个10年的时间跨度内凸显出明显的变化，尤其在我国改革开放以来这40多年发展历程中的变化尤为突出，研究体育目的发展趋势的变化，可以更有针对性的研究我国体育的指向性和普适性的双重变化。研究方法：通过文献资料法、逻辑分析法，对体育目的的辨析、发展历程、具体分类以及发展趋势等四个方面进行系统综述，对体育目的论的发展历程与变化趋势做出诠释与解读。研究结论：体育的目的要根据不同时代不同国情与不同社会发展状况来确定不同的目的，以适应国家、社会与个人发展的需要。体育的目的自始至终要面向于人，发展于人，造福于人，因此体育的目的最终指向是个体的人。
