After more than half a century’s development, Western Marxist feminism has been a distinctive theoretical school of thought in foreign Marxist thought. The origin of Western Marxist feminism rests on both theoretical and practical foundations. Its main content explores the key figures and their ideas, emphasizing that private ownership and patriarchy are fundamental and significant reasons for women’s oppression. Meanwhile, considering the current social development, discussions and prospects have also been conducted on addressing the difficulties faced by feminism by overthrowing the material foundation of patriarchy and guiding it ideologically and socially.
