Abstract:

Objectives: Patient satisfaction could be a relevant indicator of therapeutic success. The aim of this study was to evaluate the degree of satisfaction of patients treated with total removable prostheses. Materials and Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional survey was conducted among 80 patients fitted with a total removable prosthesis using a questionnaire. Results: The age of the patients ranges from 29 years to 87 years, with an average of 61.44 years. Most patients report being very satisfied or satisfied with their total bimaxillary denture, while a minority are moderately satisfied, especially regarding the stability, retention, chewing, and comfort of their denture. 67.5% of patients will highly recommend the removable prosthesis service of the CHU Casablanca to their relatives. Conclusion: Measuring satisfaction by itself is meaningless; it should be feedback capable of improving the performance of healthcare facilities. It would be even more interesting to regularly renew this satisfaction survey for better responsiveness to patient complaints and thus improve their care.
