基于语料库的《红楼梦》称谓语翻译比较研究
A Corpus-Based Analysis of the Comparison and Translation of Appellation in A Dream in Red Mansions

汉英亲属称谓体系之间存在显著的差异，这一差异在文学作品翻译中尤为明显。如何在翻译过程中准确传达原作中亲属称谓的文化内涵，已成为译者及翻译研究者关注的焦点。本文以绍兴文理学院“《红楼梦》汉英平行语料库”为研究基础，对杨、霍两译本中的称谓语翻译进行深入分析，旨在探讨汉语亲属称谓语在英语中的有效翻译方法。通过研究发现，在翻译称谓语时，译者要充分考虑语境、社会地位及文化差异对称谓语的影响，并结合翻译目的，选择合适的翻译策略。
There are significant differences between the Chinese and English kinship terms systems, which are particularly prominent in the translation of literary works. How to accurately convey the cultural connotations of kinship terms in the original work during the translation process has become a focus of attention for translators and translation researchers. Based on the “Chinese-English Parallel Corpus of A Dream of Red Mansions” of Shaoxing University of Arts and Sciences, this article conducts an in-depth analysis of the translation of kinship terms in the Yang and Huo translations, aiming to explore effective translation methods for Chinese kinship terms in English. Through research, it is found that when translating appellations, translators should fully consider the influence of context, social status and cultural differences on predicates, and select appropriate translation strategies in combination with translation purposes.
