Abstract:

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a group of functional intestinal diseases characterized by abdominal pain and abnormal bowel movements, accompanied by changes in frequency and/or fecal characteristics. It is often regarded as comorbidities with anxiety-depression state. However, the causal relationship and pathogenesis between IBS and anxiety-depression state are still unclear. This review explores the relationship between IBS and anxiety-depression state.
