翻译转换理论视角下旅游类文本机器翻译的汉英译后编辑例析

Abstract:
近年来,旅游业成为促进国民经济增长的重要力量,这也大大增加了旅游类文本的翻译需求。随着机器翻译的迅猛发展,很多人选择用翻译软件来翻译旅游类文本。而随着互联网兴起,人工智能对人类的影响愈加显著,机器翻译给人们提供了极大的便利,大大节省时间,促进不同文化传播和交流。机器翻译首次提出至今已有70余年,其发展迅速,如今机器翻译 + 译后编辑的模式已成为主流。因此,本文基于卡特福德的翻译转换理论,运用实例来剖析如何在该理论的指导下分析机器翻译的旅游类文本译文,以及如何进行译后编辑,旨在提高译者的效率,提升译作的质量。通过从语义、语用和句法方面对旅游语篇的机器译文和人工译文进行对比分析,总结旅游文本的特征及其英译策略与方法,并指出旅游文本译后编辑需要重点关注的几类特殊语言现象,以期改善机器译文质量。
In recent years, tourism has become an important force in promoting national economic growth, which has also greatly increased the demand for translation of tourism texts. With the rapid development of machine translation, many people choose to use translation software to translate travel texts. With the rise of the Internet, the impact of artificial intelligence on human beings has become more and more significant. Machine translation has provided people with great convenience, greatly saved time, and promoted the spread and exchange of different cultures. It has been more than 70 years since machine translation was first proposed. It has developed rapidly, and now the machine translation + post-editing model has become mainstream. Therefore, this article is based on Catford’s translation transformation theory and uses examples to analyze how to analyze machine-translated travel text translations under the guidance of this theory and how to perform post-translation editing, aiming to improve the efficiency of the translator and improve the quality of the translation. quality. Through a comparative analysis of machine translation and manual translation of tourism texts from the aspects of semantics, pragmatics and syntax, the characteristics of tourism texts and their English translation strategies and methods are summarized, and several special types of tourism text post-translation editors need to focus on Linguistic phenomena in order to improve the quality of machine translation.
