极简主义大师彼得·沃克——设计作品解读及设计手法浅析
The Master of Minimalism, Peter Walker—Interpretation of Design Works and Analysis of Design Techniques

彼得·沃克作为极简主义代表人物，其优秀的园林作品以及独特的设计手法具有很高的探讨价值与研究意义。本文通过对彼得·沃克求学经历和职业生涯的梳理研究，从3个方面阐释其设计思想的源头，包括法国古典主义、极简主义艺术和禅宗艺术，并以伯纳特公园、唐纳喷泉、日本千叶县幕张IBM庭院3个优秀设计项目分析为基础，思考概括他的设计手法，并从设计要素、几何形式语言、植物材料的使用和神秘感的体现4个方面对其进行阐述，最后根据我国园林的发展现状做出归纳总结以期扩展出对风景园林专业的思考与启示。
As a representative of minimalism, Peter Walker’s excellent garden works and unique design techniques are of great value and significance for discussion and research. Based on the study of Peter Walker’s school experience and career, this paper explains the source of his design ideas from three aspects, including French classicism, minimalist art and Zen art. Based on the analysis of three outstanding design projects: Bernat Park, Donner Fountain and IBM Courtyard in Makubari, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, this paper considers and summarizes his design techniques. It is elaborated from four aspects: design elements, geometric form language, the use of plant materials and the manifestation of mystery. Finally, according to the current situation of the development of landscape architecture in China, it makes a summary in order to expand the reflection and enlightenment of landscape architecture.
