This paper takes the “Miscellaneous Poems of Urumqi” as the research object, and probes into how Ji Yun describes the daily life, leisure activities and regional customs in the western region through his poems. Firstly, it introduces the creation of the “Miscellaneous Poems of Urumqi”. Then, it analyzes the description of the people’s daily life in the western region, including diet and agricultural production. Then, it discusses how Ji Yun describes the leisure activities in the western region, such as festivals and entertainment. Finally, the paper analyzes the description of regional customs in the “Miscellaneous Poems of Urumqi”, including the custom of marriage and sacrifice.
