绿色金融发展对河北省碳排放的影响研究
Research on the Impact of Green Finance Development on Carbon Emissions in Hebei Province

2023年中央金融工作会议明确将“绿色金融”作为建设金融强国的五篇大文章之一，探究绿色金融与碳排放之间的关系，撬动更多金融资本和社会资本投向绿色低碳产业，是促进区域经济可持续发展的关键举措。本文基于2012~2022年河北省五个典型城市的面板数据，利用双固定效应和中介效应回归，揭示绿色金融与河北省碳排放之间的内在联系，实证结果表明：绿色信贷会减少河北省的碳排放量，政府提供的绿色支持也会减少碳排放。中介检验结果表明，绿色支持具有中介效应，通过减少六大高耗能产业利息支出来抑制河北省的碳排放。本研究对于河北省的持续健康绿色发展，实现区域碳达峰目标有着重要借鉴意义。
The 2023 Central Financial Work Conference explicitly identified “green finance” as one of the important means to build a financially strong nation. Exploring the relationship between green finance and carbon emissions, and guide more financial and social capital towards green and low-carbon industries, is a key measure to promote the sustainable development of regional economies. Based on panel data from five typical cities in Hebei Province from 2012 to 2022, using a two-way fixed effects model and a mediation effect model, this paper reveal the intrinsic relationship between green finance and carbon emissions in Hebei Province. The empirical results indicate that green credit reduces carbon emissions in Hebei Province, and government-provided green support also contributes to carbon reduction. The mediation test results show that green support has a mediating effect, suppressing carbon emissions in Hebei Province by reducing interest expenditures in the six major energy-intensive industries. The study holds significant implications for the sustained, healthy, and green development of Hebei Province, as well as for achieving regional carbon peaking targets.
