In the field of contemporary higher education, the standardisation and efficiency of university management have become the focus of attention in academia and society. In the face of the increasingly complex challenges of university management, how to use the rule of law thinking to optimise decision-making, regulate management, as well as promote the modernisation of university governance has become a topic worthy of in-depth exploration. This paper will analyse the application and impact of rule of law thinking in university management, aiming to provide new ideas and insights for the higher education community and management practice. Firstly, this paper analyses the basic concept and core principles of rule of law thinking, emphasizing its importance in college governance. Then, it analyses the problems faced in the management of colleges and universities today and the causes of these problems. Finally, this paper discusses how to further promote the effective combination of rule of law thinking and efficient management in the process of practical application. Through in-depth analysis of the application of the rule of law thinking in university management, this paper aims to provide useful thinking for university managers and decision makers, and promote the continuous improvement and innovative development of university management.
