《宠儿》中的音乐传统与黑人美学研究

Abstract:
作为第一位摘得诺贝尔文学奖桂冠的非裔美国女性作家,莫里森及其作品在评论界都备受关注,而《宠儿》似乎是她的作品中最引人注目的。小说充满了记忆闪回、内心独白、时空跳跃等手法,再现了奴隶制下以及重建时期非裔美国人的悲惨生活。文章聚焦于小说所呈现的黑人音乐传统,通过分析贝比·萨格斯和保罗·D这两个人物的音乐隐喻,挖掘黑人音乐中蕴含的黑人美学观。
As the first female Afro-American writer to win the Nobel Prize for Literature, Toni Morrison and her works have received numerous attention from literary critics. Among all her novels, Beloved might be the most popular one. Filled with flashbacks, memories, and internal monologues, the novel displays the miserable history of Afro-Americans who lived under slavery and in the reconstruction era. This thesis focuses on the musical traditions in the text by analyzing the musical metaphors of Baby Suggs and Paul D, and then explores the black aesthetics beneath these music traditions.
