基于语料库的译者风格比较——以《乞力马扎罗的雪》的三个中译本为例
A Corpus-Based Comparison of Translator’s Style—A Case Study of Three Chinese Versions of The Snows of Kilimanjaro

文章以《乞力马扎罗的雪》原文及其三个中译本为研究对象，在译者行为批评理论的指导下，结合“求真–务实”译者行为连续统评价模式，首先基于语料库对三个译本的词汇和句法层面做了定量分析，比较它们在宏观特征上的异同；其次基于内容选取具体示例，定性分析不同译本的翻译特点，探讨译文相较于原文的求真务实度，以期更加客观全面地评价三位译者的翻译行为。对比发现，三个译本均具有中文小说的特征，汤译和侯译整体上更倾向于直译，“求真度”较高；而杨译偏向于归化翻译，“务实度”更高，且用语简洁准确，更贴合海明威的写作风格。
This paper takes the original text of The Snows of Kilimanjaro and its three Chinese versions as the object of study. Under the guidance of Translator Behavior Criticism and in combination with the “Truth-seeking-utility-attaining” Evaluative Model of Continuum towards Translator Behavior, the author first adopts a quantitative analysis of the vocabulary and syntactic aspects of the three translations based on the corpus, comparing their macroscopic features. Then, based on selected specific examples, the author qualitatively analyzes the translation characteristics of different versions, exploring the “degree of truthfulness/pragmatism” in relation to the original text, with the aim of providing a more objective and comprehensive evaluation of the translation behaviors of the three translators. Through the comparison, it is found that all three translations possess characteristics of Chinese novels. Tang’s and Hou’s translations tend to be more literal, emphasizing “truthfulness” to a greater extent. On the other hand, Yang’s translation leans more towards domestication, exhibiting higher degrees of pragmatism and its language is concise and accurate, which is more in line with Hemingway’s writing style.
