Only by combining Marxism with China’s specific realities and fine traditional Chinese culture can we correctly answer the questions posed by The Times and practice and maintain the vigorous upgrading and vitality of Marxism. Marxism and Chinese excellent traditional culture have both compatibility and differences. This paper, starting from Chinese Taoist culture, explores the differences and compatibility of the two with the two major features and three major laws of materialist dialectics in Marxism.
