基于主题意义的高中英语单元整体教学——以高中英语选择性必修第四册第三单元“Sea Exploration”(人教版)为例

Abstract:

单元是承载主题意义的基本单位,基于主题意义的单元整体教学能够深入挖掘单元的主题,整合与优化单元语篇内容,设计多样化的具有综合性、关联性和实践性的教学活动,帮助教师形成整体的教学设计思路。而当前高中英语教学设计主要以常规的听说读写课型进行,一定程度上使教学碎片化,教学内容与教学活动之间都缺乏衔接性和关联性,不利于培养学生的英语学科核心素养。基于主题意义的高中英语单元整体教学能解决当前常规教学碎片化问题。该文结合高中英语选择性必修第四册第三单“Sea Exploration”(人教版)为例,探讨如何基于主题意义进行整体单元教学设计,为基于主题意义的高中英语单元整体教学提供一些实践思路。
A teaching unit is the basic unit bearing the thematic meaning. The unit-integrity instruction based on the theme of the unit can go deep into the theme, integrate and optimize the unit’s discourse content, design various comprehensive, relevant and practical teaching activities, and help teachers form the idea of integrity teaching. At present, senior high school English instruction is mainly based on conventional listening, speaking, reading and writing courses, which makes teaching fragmented, and lacks cohesion and relevance between teaching contents and teaching activities, which is not conducive to cultivating students’ core competence of English discipline. The Unit-Integrity Instruction in senior high school can solve the problem of fragmentation in current routine teaching. This paper, taking the Selective Compulsory Course for High School English, Volume 4, Unit 3 “Sea Exploration” (People’s Education Press) for a case, explores how to design Unit-Integrity Instruction based on thematic meanings, and provides some practical ideas for Unit-Integrity Instruction.
