膝骨关节炎(Knee Osteoarthritis, KOA)是一种慢性骨关节疾病，其特点主要由膝关节软骨的退行性病变以及随后的骨质增生所引发。该疾病常表现为膝关节的持续性疼痛、僵硬感以及日常活动能力的显著受限。尽管已对膝骨关节炎进行了广泛的研究，但其确切的发病机制仍尚未完全揭示。因此，持续的研究和探索对于深入了解膝骨关节炎的病理生理过程、优化治疗方案以及提高患者生活质量具有重要意义。尽管西医在治疗膝骨关节炎方面取得了一定的进展，但仍缺乏明确且有效的治疗方法，相比之下，中医对于膝骨关节炎有着更为深入的认识和治疗方法。强调整体观念和个体化治疗，能够从疾病的本源进行治疗和调理。本文旨在综述中医药在膝骨关节炎(Knee Osteoarthritis, KOA)治疗中的临床实践经验和效果。通过广泛收集和分析相关文献，我们将深入探讨中医药在缓解膝骨关节炎症状、改善关节功能以及提高患者生活质量方面的应用与成效。这一综述不仅有助于加深对中医药治疗膝骨关节炎的理解，还可能为未来的临床研究和治疗策略提供有价值的参考。
Knee osteoarthritis (KOA) is a chronic bone and joint disease characterized by degenerative disease of the knee cartilage and subsequent osteophytes. The disease is often characterized by persistent pain and stiffness in the knee, as well as significant limitations in daily mobility. Although osteoarthritis of the knee has been extensively studied, its exact pathogenesis has yet to be fully revealed. Therefore, continued research and exploration are important to gain a deeper understanding of the pathophysiological process of osteoarthritis of the knee, optimize therapeutic options, and improve the quality of life of patients. Although Western medicine has made some progress in the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee, there is still a lack of clear and effective treatment methods, compared with Chinese medicine, which has a more in-depth understanding of osteoarthritis of the knee and its treatment methods. In contrast, TCM has a more in-depth understanding and treatment of knee osteoarthritis, which emphasizes the holistic concept and individualized treatment, and is able to treat and regulate the disease from its origin. The purpose of this paper is to review the clinical practice experience and effect of TCM in the treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis (KOA). Through extensive collection and analysis of relevant literature, we will delve into the application and effectiveness of TCM in relieving symptoms of knee osteoarthritis, improving joint function, and enhancing patients’ quality of life. This review will not only help to deepen the understanding of TCM in the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee, but may also provide valuable references for future clinical studies and treatment strategies.
