A Comparative Study of Chinese Oracle Bone Inscriptions and Maya Hieroglyphs

中国甲骨文和玛雅文字作为两种古老文明中的代表性文字系统，各自承载着丰富的历史和文化信息。尽管它们源自不同的地域和时代，但从形态学角度看都属于象形文字的范畴，同时，两者也存在着一定的差异。本文通过对比中国甲骨文与玛雅文字在诞生背景、书写内容、书写载体、书写工具及书写形式与风格等方面的异同，旨在揭示两者在各自文明发展中的重要地位及影响。
Chinese oracle bone inscriptions and Maya hieroglyphs, as representative writing systems of two ancient civilizations, carry rich historical and cultural information respectively. Despite originating from different regions and eras, both belong to the category of hieroglyphfrom a morphological perspective, yet they also exhibit certain differences. This paper aims to reveal the significant positions and influences of these two writing systems in their respective civilizations by comparing their backgrounds of origin, content, mediums, tools, and styles of writing.
