|
Abstract:
Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD), one of the most common psychiatric disorders, has a complex etiology and pathogenesis. Attachment theory suggests that attachment relationships have a lasting effect on personality and thus on the development of personality disorder (PD). In recent years, most studies have shown that attachment type is closely related to narcissistic personality type. Therefore, the present study provides a brief overview of NPD and its potential subtypes from the perspective of attachment theory. The paper summarizes recent research findings on attachment and narcissistic personality, and provides research ideas for exploring the pathogenesis of narcissistic personality.
