|
Abstract:
Ghrelin is a peptide hormone mainly secreted by gastric endocrine cells and plays an important role in the regulation of the gastrointestinal tract. In terms of basic research, researchers have found that ghrelin can increase human appetite and food intake by stimulating the central nervous system, and can also directly act on gastrointestinal smooth muscle cells to increase the frequency and amplitude of gastrointestinal peristalsis, and at the same time, studies have found that it is also associated with the incidence of gastrointestinal tumors system. In terms of clinical application, ghrelin is currently used in the treatment of patients with gastrointestinal motility disorders and gastrointestinal tumors after gastrointestinal surgery. In this paper, we discuss the effects of ghrelin on gastrointestinal function from the basic research to clinical application, hoping to provide new ideas and methods for the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal diseases.
