|
Abstract:
During the 1960s, reception aesthetics emerged as a novel approach to literary analysis, offering fresh insights for studying literature and significantly enhancing the scope of research on literary translation. Children’s literature plays a pivotal role in the holistic development and educational advancement of children. Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is a widely recognized masterpiece of literature for young readers. From the perspective of reception aesthetics proposed by Jauss, this paper examines two Chinese translations by Yuanren Zhao and Keshi Zhou in terms of vocabulary, rhetoric, and syntax, aiming to provide additional methodological references for the study of children’s literature translation.
