三美论视角下唐诗颜色词的翻译方法探究——以许渊冲译《唐诗三百首》为例

Abstract:
本文从三美论的角度出发,以许渊冲译《唐诗三百首》为研究文本,采用了案例分析法对其中的典型翻译案例进行了详细的分析。研究发现,唐诗颜色词的翻译方法并不是单一的,翻译时应综合考虑诗歌背景、语言表达以及作者的心境。其次,为了达到意美,译者常采用直译、意译、仿译等翻译方法。为了达到音美和形美,译者也尽量压脚韵,使得译文形式优美,内容充实。本文旨在探究唐诗中颜色词的翻译方法,提高大众对唐诗英译的兴趣,从而更好地传播中国优秀的传统文化。
Starting from the perspective of the theory of Three Beauties, this paper takes Yuanchong Xu’s translation of Three Hundred Tang Poems as the research text, and adopts the case study method to analyze the typical translation cases therein in detail. It is found that there is no single translation method for the color words of Tang poems, and the background of the poem, the language expression, and the author’s state of mind should be considered comprehensively when translating. Secondly, to achieve the beauty of sense, some translation methods, such as literal translation, free translation, and imitation, are also adopted. To achieve the beauty of sound and form, translators also try to press the foot rhyme, which makes the translated text beautiful in form and full of content. The purpose of this paper is to explore the methods of translating color words in Tang poems, to increase the public’s interest in the English translation of Tang poems, and to better disseminate the excellent traditional Chinese culture.
