译写策略指导下的文化外译——以主持词英译为例
Cultural Translation under the Guidance of Transwriting Strategies—A Case Study of the English Translation of Gala Script

孔子学院的海外文艺汇演在促进文化友好交流、助力中华文化“走出去”方面发挥着重要作用。海外文艺汇演的主持词英译不仅需要准确传达原文核心意义，更需要在跨文化传播中实现最佳效果。本文以孔子学院的海外文艺汇演主持词英译为例，结合具体的翻译实践，从“依托语境的改写”和“删繁就简的概括”两个角度，对英译实例进行了深入探讨。通过理论与实践相结合，我们得出结论：在译写策略的指导下，根据原文语境进行改写和概括能有效传递信息，降低读者的阅读成本，使译文更具可读性与接受性；同时，译者也能更灵活地发挥作用，达到更好的跨文化交际效果。
The overseas artistic performances organized by Confucius Institutes play a crucial role in fostering cultural exchange and helping the dissemination of Chinese culture “go global”. The English translation of gala script of overseas artistic performances not only requires accurate conveyance of the original essence, but also demands achieving optimal cross-cultural communication. This paper takes the English translation of gala script of overseas artistic performances organized by Confucius Institutes as an example, combines specific English translation practices, and makes an in-depth discussion on the English translation examples from the perspectives of “contextual adaptation” and “concise summarization”. Through this integration of theory and practice, we conclude that under the guidance of transwriting strategies, adapting and summarizing based on the original context effectively delivers the message, reducing readers’ cognitive load and enhancing readability and acceptability of the translated text. Simultaneously, it allows translators greater flexibility to achieve improved cross-cultural communicative outcomes.
