This article explored the application and considerations of Chinese-English bilingual teaching based on the case-based learning (CBL) teaching model in hepatobiliary surgery clinical practice. The focus was then on the benefits of Chinese-English bilingual teaching in hepatobiliary surgery clinical practice and its impact on student learning and professional development. The potential application prospects of Chinese-English bilingual teaching using the CBL teaching model in hepatobiliary surgery clinical practice were proposed, including strategies such as case design and enhancing teaching assessment. Lastly, challenges and solutions in the teaching process were examined, acknowledging the potential of this teaching model and providing recommendations for future development.
