The booming internet celebrity culture on short video platforms is increasingly influencing the values of college students. With its characteristics of diverse dissemination, social networking, profit orientation, and pan-entertainment, internet celebrity culture is closely related to the shaping of college students’ values. However, while enriching college students’ social interactions and public participation, internet celebrity culture can also have a negative impact on their cognitive, identification, and judgment of values. Therefore, to address this challenge, universities, society, media platforms, and other parties should collaborate to guide the positive influence of internet celebrity culture on the formation of college students’ values.
