ESA教学模式在初中英语写作教学中的应用

Abstract:
《义务教育英语课程标准(2022年版)》指出,7~9年级的学生在经过学习之后,应该能做到围绕主题,在特定的语境之下,用所学语言知识,以书面语恰当、得体地表达态度、观点和情感。写作在初中阶段的学习中起着重要作用,提高初中学生的写作能力也同样需要重视。Harmer首先提出了ESA教学模式,推动英语课堂教学模式的进一步发展和完善。该模式的三种要素,即投入(Engage)、学习(Study)与运用(Activate),便能真正做到为创设语境服务。三种要素不同组合形式分别是直线型、反弹型与杂拼型,三种教学形式分别适用于不同的写作类型的教学中,以达到激发学生写作兴趣,提升学生写作能力的效果。
The English Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education (2022 Edition) states that students in grades 7~9 should be able to express their attitudes, opinions, and emotions appropriately in written language, focusing on the theme and using the language knowledge they have learned in specific contexts. Writing plays an important role in middle school learning, and improving the writing ability of middle school students also needs to be given equal attention. Harmer first proposed the ESA Teaching Model to further develop and improve the English classroom teaching model. The three elements of this model, namely Engage, Study, and Activate, can truly serve to create context. The three different combinations of elements are Straight Arrows sequence, Boomerang sequence, and Patchwork sequence. The three teaching forms are suitable for different types of writing teaching, in order to stimulate students’ interest in writing and improve their writing ability.
