In today’s digital era, the rapid development of technology has brought new impetus to the field of education. Both teaching methods for educators and learning approaches for students have undergone significant changes. The role of digital tools in university English classrooms is increasingly evident. This article analyzes the current status of traditional English phonetics teaching and explores in depth the impact of digital technology on the teaching of the “English Phonetics” course. It aims to facilitate the adaptation of phonetics courses to the needs of current developments, assist English major students in improving their professional literacy, and better leverage their professional advantages.
