英文电影片名的翻译方法研究
A Study on the Translation of English Film Titles

随着中国电影市场的发展和崛起，每年都有大量的外国电影被引进国内，而中国也有不少优秀的电影走出国门，纷纷在一些国际电影节中获奖。而对于英文电影片名的翻译，要充分考虑文本本身的功能和预期达成的效果，进行语言的转化，从而实现翻译目的。本文旨在介绍英文电影片名的重要性、英文电影片名的特征、英文电影片名翻译的现状、影响英文电影片名翻译的因素、英文电影片名翻译应遵循的原则以及英文电影片名的翻译方法六个方面，并着重提出了翻译英文电影片名时可采用直译、意译、音译以及三种译法相结合等四种方法。总而言之，在翻译英文电影片名的时候，译者应对译入语以及会影响翻译质量的因素进行深入分析，采用灵活的翻译方法，以期达到最好的翻译效果。
With the development and rise of the Chinese film market, a large number of foreign films are in-troduced into mainland China every year, and many excellent Chinese films have gone abroad and won awards in some international film festivals. As for the translation of English film titles, the function of the text itself and the expected effect should be fully considered, and the language transformation should be carried out so as to achieve the translation purpose. This paper aims to introduce the importance of English film titles, the characteristics of English film titles, the current situation of English film title translation, the factors affecting English film title translation, the prin-ciples that should be followed in translating English film titles and the methods of translating Eng-lish films titles. It also puts forward four methods for translating English film titles, namely, literal translation, free translation, transliteration and a combination of the three methods. In a word, when translating English film titles, the translator should deeply analyze the target language and the factors that will affect the translation quality, and adopt flexible translation methods in order to achieve the best translation effect.
