The innovative application of Chinese traditional cultural elements in textile design is an im-portant topic in the field of contemporary design. This paper deeply discusses the history, social, ideological and practicality of Chinese traditional culture, and emphasizes that traditional cultural elements provide new design ideas for textile design. This paper analyzes the value orientation of traditional cultural elements and the development trend in modern textile design, and points out the challenges and problems. In view of the application of traditional cultural elements, the corresponding design strategies are put forward. Finally, it emphasizes the importance of exploring the point between tradition and modernity and paying attention to market demand.
