Abstract:

Chordoma of skull base is one of the rare tumors with slow growth but high recurrence tendency. Surgery is the main method of treatment. Due to the influence of local anatomical structure, surgery is limited, usually taking postoperative radiotherapy or radical radiotherapy. With the improve-ment of radiotherapy technology, stereotactic radiotherapy, intensity modulated therapy, proton therapy and carbon ion radiotherapy are more and more widely used. Different radiotherapy tech-niques also have different effects on survival and adverse reactions. In this paper, the current status of radiotherapy for chordoma of skull base is reviewed.
