国家认同在中国初高中英语教科书中的话语建构

Abstract:

随着全球化的发展,教科书在培养学生的全球视野的同时,也应当继续强化对本土文化和价值观的尊重和传承。研究旨在通过话语历史法分析国内英语教科书如何体现了民族认同。研究发现,我国中学生英语教科书中的民族认同主要从以下角度呈现:中国人热爱祖国、愿意为国牺牲、誓死捍卫中国传统的价值观;中国人对中国古老历史、文化和美丽家园的自豪;面对困难时全民族团结一起,共度难关;中国人对中国传统神话、节日和习俗的传承。研究结果揭示了中学英语教科书中中国国家形象的表述及其背后的主流意识形态,展现了教育在培养青少年积极民族认同感方面的重要作用。
With the development of globalization, textbooks should reinforce the respect and inheritance of local cultures and values while fostering students’ global perspectives. The study aims to analyze how national identity is reflected in domestic EFL textbooks through the discourse historical ap-proach. The study found that national identity in EFL textbooks is presented from the following perspectives: Chinese people’s love for the motherland, their willingness to sacrifice for the country, and their vow to defend traditional Chinese values; Chinese people’s pride in China’s ancient history, culture, and beautiful homeland; the unity of the whole nation to tide over difficulties; and Chinese people’s inheritance of traditional Chinese myths, festivals, and customs. The findings reveal China’s national identity and the mainstream ideology behind it, demonstrating the important role of edu-cation in fostering a positive national identity among young people.
