本研究旨在深入探讨学术论文中关于中医术语的英译问题，旨在解决当前存在的语言转化挑战。随着中医药在国际医学领域的广泛应用，中医术语的精准翻译变得尤为重要。本次翻译文本选自本人在上海同京翻译服务有限公司实习期间的几篇中医学术论文英译项目，分别为“含水蛭中成药治疗动脉粥样硬化的网状Meta分析”，“基于网络药理学和分子对接技术研究黄芩–黄连治疗糖尿病肾脏病机制”，“水蓑衣水提物亚急性毒性实验研究”，“桔梗药性功用历史沿革及药理作用研究进展”，“环境温度和湿度对尖孢镰刀菌侵染丹参幼苗的影响”，“环境温度和湿度对尖孢镰刀菌侵染丹参幼苗的影响”。中医学术论文术语主要可以分为专业术语，缩略语及双栖词语。通过实际案例的深入研究，发现学术论文中广泛使用的中医术语英译存在着不一致性和混淆的问题，这可能影响国际学术交流和中医传播。为了提高翻译质量，总结了翻译方法(如音译、意译)的适用性。本研究为解决学术领域中的中医术语翻译问题提供了深刻的洞察力，对于提高中医术语在国际学术界的准确性、一致性，以及促进中医文化的全球传播具有重要的参考价值，有望为中医学科的国际化发展提供实质性支持。
This study delves into the intricacies of translating Chinese medical terminology in academic papers, aiming to address the existing language conversion challenges. With the widespread adoption of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in the international medical arena, precise translation of TCM terminology becomes increasingly crucial. The translation samples for this study were selected from several TCM research papers completed during my internship at Shanghai Tongjing Transla-tion Services Limited. These papers encompassed topics such as “Network Meta-analysis of Chinese patent medicine containing Hirudo in treatment of atherosclerosis”, “Mechanism Research of Net-work Pharmacology and Molecular Docking Study of Huangqin (Scutellaria baicalensis)-Huanglian (Coptis chinensis) Herb Pair in the Treatment of Diabetic Kidney Disease”, “Study on Subacute Tox-icity of Water Extract from Shuisuoyi (Hygrophila salicifolia)”, “Progress of Historical Evolution of Herbal Textual of Medicinal Properties and Efficacy and Research Progress of Pharmacological Effect in Jiegeng (Platycodon grandiflorus)”, “Effects of temperature and humidity on infection of Fusarium oxysporum in seedlings of Salvia miltiorrhiza”, “Effects of temperature and humidity on infection of Fusarium oxysporum in seedlings of Salvia miltiorrhiza”. TCM academic terminology can be broadly categorized into specialized terms, abbreviations, and homophonic words. By conducting in-depth investigations into practical cases, it is observed that the English translation of commonly used TCM terms in academic papers suffers from inconsistency and confusion, potentially hindering interna-tional academic exchange and the dissemination of TCM knowledge. To enhance translation quality, this study summarizes the applicability of translation techniques, such as transliteration and par-aphrasing. This research provides profound insights into addressing the translation issues related to TCM terminology in the academic domain.
