Abstract:

Appearance design is an important factor affecting people’s acceptance of social robots, and the research in this field has exploded in recent years. This paper reviews relevant researches in the field of social robot appearance design, and summarizes the design features of social robots and people’s acceptance of these designs from the macro and micro levels. Secondly, this paper puts forward several issues that need attention in the appearance design of social robots, hoping it will do some help in improving people’s acceptance of social robots. Finally, the paper summarizes the limitations of the existing researches, and proposes some future research directions in this field.
