在2000年~2010年，杀马特青年掀起了一场非主流运动，虽然杀马特时代已经过去，但是杀马特青年身上展现出的叛逆精神和审美自觉却值得人们深思。生活经历、社会制度以及特殊的成长阶段等因素导致杀马特青年心理失衡，表现为在城市和农村环境中存在感的长期缺失，在城市环境中缺乏归属感，以及他们身上强烈的自主感。这些基本心理需求的失衡促进了杀马特这一亚文化在社会底层青年群体流行，他们用杀马特的形式表达他们的心理诉求。社会进步的标志之一是包容性，各群体应该理性看待城乡身份标签，对弱势群体给予足够的关注。
The Smart youth sparked a non-mainstream movement from 2000 to 2010. Although the era of Smart has passed, the rebellious spirit and aesthetic consciousness exhibited by the Smart youth are worth pondering. Factors such as life experiences, social systems, and special stages of growth have led to psychological imbalance among the Smart youth. The long-term lack of a sense of exist-ence in urban and rural environments, a lack of belonging in urban environments, and a strong sense of autonomy in their bodies have led to the imbalance of basic psychological needs, which has promoted the popularity of the subculture of Smart among the lower social youth groups, they ex-pressed their psychological demands in the form of Smart. One of the symbols of social progress is inclusivity, and all groups should rationally view urban and rural identity labels and pay sufficient attention to vulnerable groups.
