逃离与回归——艾丽丝?门罗《逃离》中的双重叙事进程分析

Abstract:
艾丽丝?门罗是加拿大当代短篇小说作家,被称为“当代短篇小说大师”。门罗关注女性的生存状态和人与人之间错综复杂的关系,并向读者展示了她对现实生活的敏锐观察。本文分析了艾丽丝?门罗《逃离》显性进程中所体现的逃离主题,但在情节发展背后,隐性进程中暗含了女性异化主题,并在此主题意义上形成一种颠覆性。即女性逃离的最后是无处可逃,女性的最终选择仍是屈服于现实。反映了门罗对女性所面对的生存困境的关注。
As a contemporary Canadian short story writer, Alice Munro is called as “master of the contemporary short story”. Munro focuses on the survival state of women and the tangled relationship between people meanwhile presenting readers with a keen observation of real life. This paper analyzes the overt progression of escape in Alice Munro’s “Runaway”, but behind the plot development, the covert progression implies the female alienation progression and thus forms a subversive theme. That is, the final outcome of women fleeing is that there is nowhere to run and the final choice of women is still to surrender to reality. It reflects Munro’s concern about the existential dilemmas faced by women.
