论定性研究在翻译研究中的应用——以《中国日报》(China Daily)中的中国特色文化负载词为例

Abstract:
“中国英语”是英语全球化与本土化两个共生趋势下的必然历史产物，衍生出大批中国特色文化负载词的英译形式，在新闻报道中多有应用，标识着民族身份和文化，同时对推动构建中国文化“走出去”的文化桥梁具有重要作用。本文采用定性研究的方法，对China Daily (2021~2022年)中所涉及的部分中国特色文化负载词进行分析，探究其所使用的翻译策略，以期为中国文化更好地对外传播提供助力。
“China English” is an inevitable historical product of the two symbiotic trends of English globaliza-tion and localization. It has derived a large number of English translation forms of culture-loaded words with Chinese characteristics, which are widely used in news reports, marking national iden-tity and culture, and playing an important role in promoting the construction of cultural bridges for Chinese culture to “go abroad”. This paper employs a qualitative research method to analyze some of the culture-loaded words with Chinese characteristics in China Daily (2021~2022) and explore the translation strategies used by them, so as to provide better help for the broader dissemination of Chinese culture.
