Because of the particularity of black history, the identity of black mothers has been in a dynamic evolution. Black motherhood is the core of black feminism. Toni Morrison, as one of the most in-fluential contemporary black female writers, broke the traditional writing paradigm of mother-hood in her novels, subverted and dispelled the institutionalized motherhood, and in the face of the interactive suppression of black motherhood by politics, gender, class and race. She gave a silent and powerful revelation and resistance to the anti motherhood behavior.
