翻译转换理论视角下机械工程类科技论文的汉英翻译方法研究

Abstract:
本文基于机械工程类科技论文的汉英翻译实践,结合卡特福德翻译转换理论,从词汇层面和句法等微观层面出发,选取典型案例分析翻译实践过程中发生的各类翻译转换现象,总结层次转换和范畴转换在此类科技论文汉英实践中的适用性及可行性,旨在丰富该领域文本的英译方法,提升译者科技论文的汉英翻译能力。
Based on the C-E translation practice of scientific and technological papers on mechanical engineering, this paper attempts to combine with typical cases to analyze various translation shifts in the process of translation practice at the micro levels of lexis and syntax from the perspective of Catford’s translation shift theory. Then, this paper concludes the applicability and feasibility of level shift and category shift in the process of the C-E translation practice of scientific and technological papers, aiming to enrich the translation methods of this field and improve the translators’ ability to translate scientific and technological papers from Chinese to English.
