浅析《绣像小说》之《回头看》的翻译特点和语言风格
A Brief Analysis of the Translation Characteristics and Language Style of Looking Backward: 2000~1887 in Illustrated Fiction

二十世纪初，《绣像小说》创刊，主要刊登西方著名小说的译本。这部刊物曾连载名为《回头看》的小说译本，原著是美国科幻作家爱德华？贝拉米所著科幻小说《回头看纪略》，也是最早引进中国的西方科幻小说之一。笔者对比英文原著与《绣像小说》刊登的译本，分析具体译例，总结该版译本的翻译特点和语言风格，进而讨论影响其翻译的历史因素。可以看出，该译本受到明显的时代影响，翻译特点和语言风格都为其开化民众的办刊目的而服务。
At the beginning of the 20th century, Illustrated Fiction was first published, mainly containing translations of famous Western novels. Its publication has serialized a translation of a novel called Looking Backward: 2000~1887, which was originally written by Edward Bellamy, one of the first Western fictions introduced to China. Through comparing the original English text with the translation published in Illustrated Fiction, there can be an analysis of the specific translation examples, a summary of the translation characteristics and language style of this version’s translation, followed by a discussion of the historical factors affecting the translation. It is clear that this translation version is apparently influenced by the Times, and its translation features and language style have served the purpose of this journal-refreshing people’s mind.
