《法国中尉的女人》中的空间表征与身份建构
Representation of Space and Identity Construction in The French Lieutenant’s Woman

本文运用空间批评理论，从“物质地理空间”“个体心理空间”“社会历史空间”三个维度，探究《法国中尉的女人》中的空间书写。在物质地理空间中，通过地理景观的“空间转移”，萨拉获得了截然不同的生存体验，并逐步确立起独立自主的“新女性”身份；在个体心理空间中，在自我与他者、自我与社会的对峙中，萨拉获得了思想与身体的双重解放，完成了心理空间的整合与构建；在社会历史空间中，作者通过打破历史真实与文本虚构的壁垒，揭露了维多利亚时期伪善的道德观、僵死的阶级分化及失衡的性别机制，以萨拉对“正统思想”的反叛来推动女性自我意识的觉醒及女性生存空间的重构。
Using the theory of spatial criticism, this paper explored the spatial writing in The French Lieute-nant’s Woman from three dimensions of “physical geographical space”, “individual psychological space” and “social-historical space”. In the physical geographical space, through the “space transfer” of geographical landscape, Sarah obtained a completely different survival experience, and gradually established the independent “new female” identity. In the individual psychological space, and in the confrontation between self and others, self and society, Sarah obtained the dual liberation of mind and body, accomplishing the integration and construction of psychological space. In the social-historical space, the author revealed the hypocritical moral view, rigid class division and unbalanced gender mechanism of the Victorian period by breaking the barrier of historical truth and fictional text, promoting the awakening of female self-consciousness and reconstruction of female living space through Sarah’s rebellion against “orthodox thought”.
