功能对等理论视域下2022年《政府工作报告》中中华文化负载词汉英翻译方法探究
Chinese-English Translation Techniques of Chinese Culture-Loaded Terms in China’s 2022 Government Work Report from the Perspective of Functional

《政府工作报告》英译本作为传播中华文化、体现中国立场的权威声音，一直是汉语政治新闻语篇英译的最高范本。鉴于此，本文基于奈达的功能对等理论，以2022年《政府工作报告》英译本为研究语料，对其中生态文化负载词、物质文化负载词、社会文化负载词与语言文化负载词的英译技巧进行探究。通过案例分析，本文认为，针对汉语政治新闻语篇中的中华文化负载词，译员可使用直译加喻体保留、直译与意译互为补充、意译、直译加减译与增译等英译方法再现源语信息，实现交际功能，传递文化价值，展现大国风采。
As an authoritative voice to disseminate Chinese culture and show China’s stance, the English version of the Government Work Report has always been the best exemplar of the English translation of Chinese political news texts. Therefore, on the basis of Nida’s functional equivalence theory, the paper explores the Chinese-English translation techniques of the ecological culture-loaded terms, material culture-loaded terms, social culture-loaded terms, and linguistic culture-loaded terms in the English version of the 2022 Government Work Report. By case analyses, the paper concludes that several techniques can be applied to the translation of Chinese culture-loaded terms in Chinese political news texts, such as literal translation with retention of figurative vehicles, literal translation combined with free translation, free translation, omission and addition based on literal translation, which effectively conveys the source information, fulfills communicative functions, fosters cultural values, and promotes the great-power image of China.
