A Review of Topics in International Translanguaging Studies

Abstract:

作为应用语言学近年来三大转向中多语转向的内容之一,超语已经成为了双语或多语教育领域等其他领域的热门研究话题。本文基于R语言的文献计量分析软件,以Web of Science核心合集为来源的560篇主题为“translanguaging”的文章进行相关指标的可视化分析,概括并讨论国际超语研究主题状况。研究发现超语的理论体系较为完整,双语与多语教育领域的应用研究占主导地位,同时也有关注不同社会文化背景下超语实践者的语言使用情况以及身份问题。虽然超语研究发展迅速,但是依旧有广阔的发展空间,关注国际超语研究理论与实践,有利于促进我国语言教育以及多模态和跨学科相关研究发展。
As one of the three major turns of applied linguistics in recent years, translanguaging has become a hot topic in the field of bilingual or multilingual education. Based on the bibliometric analysis software of R language, this paper uses the Web of Science core collection as the source of 560 articles with the topic of translanguaging to carry out a visual analysis of related indicators, and summarizes and discusses the status of international research topics. The study found that the theoretical system of translanguaging is relatively complete, and the applied research in the field of bilingual and multilingual education plays a dominant role. At the same time, there are also concerns about the translanguaging users and their identity under different social and cultural backgrounds. Although the development of translanguaging research is rapid, there is still a wide space for further study. Paying attention to the theory and practice of international translanguaging research is conducive to promoting the language education and the development of multi-modal and interdisciplinary study.
