The collection of short stories Dear Life is the final work of Alice Munro. Its plain and calm narration reflects Munro’s pursuit of the truth of life again. As a female writer, Munro wrote about women’s consciousness and survival dilemma by showing women’s desire and resistance, disease and death, which virtually practiced the concept of écriture féminine put forward by Hélène Cixous, and to a certain extent exceeded the essential expression of écriture féminine.
