With the increasing scale of postgraduate students in “Double First-Class” universities and the increasing requirements for training quality, the daily management of postgraduate education needs to be strengthened urgently. The postgraduate secretary is a key position in the management of postgraduate students in colleges and universities. In this paper, through indepth analysis of the current postgraduate secretarial management work, there are problems such as insufficient team building, heavy workload, backward management model, insufficient management ability, and lack of regular learning and training mechanism. This paper puts forward policy suggestions from three aspects: how to improve the basic requirements for the selection of postgraduate secretary managers, strengthen and optimize the postgraduate secretary team, and promote the construction of postgraduate secretary management informatization, so as to improve the work efficiency of post-graduate secretaries and serve the improvement of postgraduate training quality.
