The Study on Jiang Shumei’s Folk Memory Writing

姜淑梅的民间记忆写作既是展现动荡社会乱穷世相与民间观念的乡村志，也是作者对自身女性记忆与记忆中的女性加以编码的人物志。无论是作家的女性记忆还是记忆中的女性，都传达着其对女性身份的高度认同，展现了姜淑梅较为先进但不无局限的女性观。而从主题来看，姜淑梅的故事不跳脱社会主流价值框架，然而，细节的讲述常在有意无意间显示出与既定主题的缝隙，民间故事的魅力也由此而生。从早期《乱时候，穷时候》《苦菜花，甘蔗芽》书写自己的故事，到后来为“上货”而不断转述听来的故事，姜淑梅的记忆写作或已遭遇瓶颈，但其早期创作所体现的社会性力量，仍然不容忽视。
Jiang Shumei’s folk memory writing is both a rural journal showing the chaotic and poor world and folk concepts in a turbulent society, and a character journal in which the author encodes her own female memory and the women in her memory. Both the writer’s female memories and the women in her memories convey her high level of identification with female identity, showing Jiang Shumei’s more advanced but not limited view of women. Thematically, Jiang Shumei’s stories do not break away from the framework of mainstream social values, yet the details often reveal a gap with the established themes, intentionally or unintentionally, and the charm of folk tales is thus born. From writing her own stories in the early days of Chaotic Times, Poor Times and Bitter Vegetable Flowers, Sugarcane Buds to relaying stories she heard later on in order to “get the goods”, Jiang Shumei’s memory writing may have hit a bottleneck, but the social force embodied in her early works still cannot be ignored.
