来马琢道的中国之旅与《苏浙见闻录》
Kuruma Takudou’s Trip to China and Notes of Experience in Jiangsu and Zhejiang

来马琢道是近代日本佛教界著名人士，其毕生致力于宗政及宗教学的振兴。在日本“废佛毁释”的浪潮中，来马意图寻求日本佛教之出路，于1913年来华巡访苏浙一带，留存游记《苏浙见闻录》。游记重点记述了苏浙寺院巡礼，并对中国的卫生生活、民俗风情、国民性格等亦有详细记述，中国呈现出日益衰败的现实。来马虽并非日本国公费派遣，但在帝国主义事业的影响下，其对国家有着极为强烈的自发性使命感，对中国的观察与认识终究无法摆脱意识形态与民族利益的狭隘。通过对日本代表性的佛教人物的分析，可以管窥其时日本人认识中国路径的一个侧面，对把握当时的中国亦具有一定的史料价值。
Kuruma Takudou is a famous figure in modern Japanese Buddhist circles. He devoted his life to the revitalization of religious politics and religion. In the wave of “abolishing Buddhism and de-stroying Buddhism” in Japan, Kuruma intended to find a way out for Japanese Buddhism. In 1913, he visited Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces in China, and retained the travel notes Notes on the Experience of Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Travel notes focus on the temple tour in Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, and also describe in detail China’s sanitary life, folk customs, national character, etc. China is showing the declining reality. Although Kuruma was not sent by Japan at public expense, under the influence of imperialism, he had a strong sense of spontaneous mission to the country, and his observation and understanding of China could not get rid of the narrowness of ideology and national interests. Through the analysis of the representative Buddhist figures in Japan, we can have a glimpse of one side of the Japanese way of knowing China at that time, which is also of certain historical value for grasping China at that time.
