党政文献术语英译中文化缺省与补偿策略研究

Abstract:
在“讲好中国故事”的战略背景下，翻译工作肩负起了推动中国文化走向世界的重任，其中党政文献术语的英译更是关键一环。但本文注意到，文化缺省现象为党政文献术语英译工作带来了诸多困难。本文首先介绍了文化缺省的基本概念及相关理论，然后基于汉英对照版党政书籍，分析了党政文献术语英译中常见的几种文化缺省现象，并提出了直译加注、意译、省译、增译及套译等补偿策略。本研究旨在探讨实用的翻译补偿策略，以期克服文化缺省现象，助力党政外宣工作，推动中国文化的对外传播。
Under the strategic background of “telling the Chinese story”, translation plays an important role in promoting Chinese culture to the world, especially the English translation of terms in Party and government documents. However, cultural default brings many difficulties. So, this paper first introduces the basic concepts, theories and the common phenomena of cultural default in the translation of terms in Party and government books. Then, based on Chinese-English comparison books, this paper puts forward some compensation strategies, such as literal translation with annotation, paraphrase, omission, amplification and corresponding translation. The purpose of this study is to explore practical translation compensation strategies, overcome cultural default, help the Party and government external publicity, and promote the dissemination of Chinese culture.
