|
Abstract:
Articaine is a widely used local anesthetic solution in stomatology. In recent years, its reputation in stomatology is even comparable to the traditional gold standard “lidocaine”, especially in children’s dentistry. Its excellent anesthetic properties make it widely used in children. However, the manu-facturer does not recommend its use in children under 4 years old, which makes dental treatment for children under 4 years old more difficult. This article is a review of the existing literature and an elaboration on the current status of articaine use in children under 4 years old. Providing evi-dence-based medical guidance for the use of articaine with children under 4 years old.
