“当然”与“Of Course”在能源类文本中的翻译探讨
Translation of “当然(Dang Ran)” and “Of Course” in Energy Texts

本文结合能源类文本的翻译实例，探究了汉语“当然”与英语“of course”的翻译，并给出了推荐译法。研究表明，这两个副词/短语的翻译需要译者在实现对全文的理解、表达与变通后，才能准确无误地译出。相反，在尚不理解全文意义时，盲目地逐句翻译是不可行的。能源在我国有着重要地位，专业学习需求大，因此对能源类文本的翻译实践进行研究具有重要意义。
Based on the translation examples of energy texts, this paper explores the translation of “Dang Ran” in Chinese and “of course” in English, and puts forward some recommended translation methods. It is concluded that in order to achieve an accurate translation of these two ad-verbs/phrases, the translators are required to fully comprehend, express and adapt the source texts. Conversely, it is not feasible to translate energy texts sentence by sentence without full un-derstanding of them. Energy has an important role in China, posing a great demand for profes-sional learning, so research on the translation of energy texts is of great significance.
